Thiri Khin, M.D. is Board-certified medical Oncologist & Hematologist. She completed her studies at the Institute of Medicine I in Myanmar, Burma, which is the oldest and most selective medical school in the country and from Baylor college of Medicine Oncology & Hematology as Chief Fellow in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Khin is also a member of The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), The American Society of Hematology (ASH), The American Medical Association (AMA), and Myanmar ball workouts with a partner Medical Association (MMA) in Yangon, Myanmar. She was awarded Resident of the year on 2013-2014 at the American College of Physicians as well as the first prize on Completed research category on GME scholar day for “ Antibiotic therapy for Infectious Disease: Stay away from Wikipedia” and the first prize on Research in progress for “Helicobacter pylori and the pathogenesis of Gallbladder carcinoma”

Thiri also passed her matriculation exam with the 10th highest score in the whole country of Myanmar. She was also resident co-investigator with Florida hospital cancer institute on “Peripheral Blood K-ras analysis as a molecular biomarker of cancer risk and relapse” as well as “Role of Helicobacter species in pathogenesis of Gallbladder carcinoma” which was selected as one of the top 4 abstracts in GME scholar.

Publications of Dr. Khin includes different subchapters on “Handbook of prostate cancer and other genitourinary malignancies” and a few articles on “Behavioral Surveillance Surveys on STIS in Gyo-Bin-Gauk Township”

Dr. Khin is fluent in Burmese (Myanmar), Mandarin Chinese, and English. Her hobbies include spending time with her pet dog and cat as well as being a dedicated, caring, and compassionate member of Pacific Cancer Medical Center team.
